A One-Stop Platform to Create, Send, and Track Legal Documents

About the Client

After almost a decade as a business lawyer in some of Norway's top tier law firms, Merete Nygaard grew increasingly frustrated with how inadequately legal knowledge was shared, between lawyers and their clients and between lawyers themselves. Lexolve's ultimate goal is to make legal work easier for businesses and the people working in them all over the world. Today, the platform is enabling legal certainty for all.

The Challenge

Lexolve wanted to solve everyday legal issues with an online tool that creates, sends, and tracks legal documents in one intuitive, easy-to-use platform. The greatest challenge: automating the processes to serve the many scenarios and use cases businesses face day-to-day.

The Solution

To make the most of this strong concept, we started with a one-week wireframing sprint to get a prototype right from the start. We then joined creative forces with the product owner to shape a sound business plan and top-notch branding. Then came development: we gathered valuable user feedback and adjusted the result until everyone was happy, users and product owner alike.

The Technology Stack

Dynamic generation of Word documents based on JSON template schemes may sound like a challenge, but our developers handled it smoothly. Throughout the project, we focused on using the most recent technologies. The Lexolve technology stack: Ruby on Rails, Angular, React.js, PostgreSQL, Mailchimp API, Stripe API, Kubernetes, Rollbar (error tracking), GitHub (code review), Cloudflare (protection), and CircleCI (integration).

Conversation is one of our most important values, and we support it at every stage of the development process. It runs through digital tools, so context is never lost: Slack for chat, Jira for planning, and GitHub for code reviews and discussion.
