Food declarations made easy.
MyFoodOffice approached us with the task of building their product declarations app. We sat down with the team, created a juicy design and then focused on creating a database architecture, that would be ready for serious post-launch scaling. We have been with MyFoodOffice from the beginning and we are continuing our cooperation as the product is being developed with new features every few weeks.
“Startup House is easy to collaborate with. When your project is hit by challenges, they listen to your opinions and accommodate you as far reasonable as possible. They have a talented pool of young developers and project managers.”

CEO and Founder, MyFoodOffice
Nobody messes with other people’s food or anything related to it.
That is why the brand we were going to communicate had to represent trust and professionalism while remaining as clean and modern as possible. When creating a logo for MyFoodOffice we tried to tell the story of the actual product: connecting something we all know, food represented by an ear of wheat, with something very new for the industry — technology.

Delicious design choices
Crafting the look & feel of the platform, we had to respond to the users’ expectations of such a product and the goals we set ourselves with the brand identity design. We wanted it to be uncluttered, fresh, yet not boring, and at the same time contemporary and eye-catching. Our design team tried to reflect the delicious nature of the food industry. Looking at the results and the feedback the team got from its users — they did a perfect job.

Save time and automate your tasks.
Connect your recipe to a product, and automatically get mandatory food declaration in compliance with the latest EU legislation.

Clarity by design
Working on a platform focused on managing information, we were challenged to make every data point shown in the application have just the right position and visibility. We had to strike a balance between showing too much and showing too little. We identified the most important information and made it digestible using proper information architecture and color-coding.

Accessible from any device
The places our users work in (food production plants, bakeries, etc.) require mobility and easy instant access to the MyFoodOffice platform. We had to tackle the challenges of working with loads of data on mobile screens.

When working on the project we focused on using the most recent technology pieces.
We wanted it to be error-free and we focused on bringing to the platform as many automated tests as possible. The MyFoodOffice technology stack is:
- Ruby on Rails
- React
- PostgreSQL
- Google Cloud Platform
- Sendgrid (notifications)
- Rollbar (error tracking software)
- CodeClimate (code review)
- Cloudflare (Protection)
- CircleCI (Integration)
Conversation is one of our most important values and a habit we support at every stage of our development process. Conversation is executed through digital tooling so the context is never lost. We use Slack for chat, Jira for planning, and Github for code reviews and discussion.
